“If you don’t, They want!”

Hello, blog world! While reading my faithful early morning wake up and get dressed with me blog(that is my new nickname for Mrs. T’s Corner morning blogs🥰) on “Smiling Faces Sometimes Do tell Lies.” This blog caused me to think about my walk as a Christian. I hope this short blog help Christians as well as Non-Christians feel the need to stop gossip in its tracks!

Do we have itching ears?

We should never hear the middle or the end of a gossiping conversation. We should not surround ourselves with the people mentioned in 2 Timothy 4 which warns of the time that will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lust, Shell heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Christians will benefit from a daily check.

Do you have people who have no problem with coming to you to gossip or gossiping around you? If so, that is a sure sign for us Christians to ask ourselves, “ What is it about me which makes a person or people comfortable enough to gossip with or around me?” We have to check ourselves daily.

Christians will benefit from a daily check.

We must check ourselves before we wreck ourselves and others. Our itching ears and serpent tongues will cause others to falter. By putting the ointment (Whole Armor) of God on our entire body, the Spirit will guide our language and our ears. When we do not condone or participate in gossip, we will not give into serpent tongues or itching ears, and those people will flee.

Thanks, Tangie, for the inspiration to post this blog.
