How often do you meditate on the awesomeness of God?

I have been reminiscing in recent days about blessings that God bestowed upon me and my husband over last 25 years. God has been gracious and blessed us with steady jobs, children, grandchildren and spiritual growth and physical health.
Thankful for our jobs
Being granted life, knowledge and opportunities to acquire steady employment, we are able to help saints and homeless persons in need.
Speaking in general, we often take for granted blessings of necessities of life: food, clothing and shelter. “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.”— 1 Timothy 6:7-8 (NIV)
Thankful for our children
I am thankful to God for blessing us to see six of our seven children live to adulthood, and for blessing us with beautiful grandchildren considering the many reports of missing children and horrible stories of how babies are being killed. The Bible repeatedly tells us all children are a gift from God. They are the future of the church and must be taught the Word of God at an early age. I pray without ceasing for our children and grandchildren’s welfare; and thankful thus far they are safe.
Thankful for our spiritual and physical health
My husband and I traveled hard roads across some rough terrains looking for smoother roads finding none that were pleasing to God. However, I am thankful God spared our lives so he could increase our faith and get us on the right path of our spiritual journey.
Thank you God for giving us strength during those days, and especially for allowing godly Christians to cross our paths. Mostly importantly, I am thankful for health, spiritual growth, and a new life in Christ. “Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”— 2 Corinthians 5:17
We are fortunate and thankful because our lives could change in the blink of an eye.
Do you thank Him for the blessings He bestows upon you?

Enjoyed the post. There are so many reasons for us to be thankful but many of us don’t even bother to utter two short words, “Thank you.”

Beautiful and mindful blog. We often take basic necessities of life for granted—not one thanks to God.
